I have returned from Edinburgh, which was truly lovely, if endlessly wet: mostly there was bookshopping and staying in bed all day, and on a miracle of a dry and a clear night, Shim and I were a breathless cliché and went out into the fields to watch the Perseids shoot overhead. Life still chaotic, but good. I have emily_shore visiting me, but she, being a sensible person who keeps sensible-person hours, is asleep. I went to fetch her from Lime Street today, and showed her around various bits of Liverpool, and saw them again myself for the first time.
